Quick start

Trace your first repository relationship.

Paste two public GitHub repositories into the hero on the landing page, or go to Trace.

  1. ForkReason validates both repositories and pins an immutable commit for each.
  2. Press **Trace lineage**. No wallet is required.
  3. Watch the eight pipeline stages complete. Each stage reflects real work.
  4. Open the case report to inspect the verdict, evidence, counter-evidence and every competing explanation.

What to try first

A repository you know was forked from something, against its declared upstream parent. ForkReason should report DECLARED_FORK or SHARED_UPSTREAM.
